Bug Deather 19XX

An ancient race of bugs have decided to take over the world, the president has called upon you, the Tester, to put a stop to this diabolical plan. You arrive at the infection zone and say to yourself “It's time to take the cap off the bug spray”. Then take out your pistol, twirl it and chuckle to yourself.

Bug Deather 19XX is inspired by the original Doom and a bunch of Doom wads (mods) and the original Thief. 

It's not as fast-paced and arcade-y like Doom. It has some stealth mechanics. It's a amalgam of sorts, it might work or it might not? But! It just might. (It will!)

A lot of work was put into the enemies, you can shoot off arms, legs, wings, gun-arms and they will act differently. If you shoot off a leg they will hop, if you shoot off their gun they will smack you. So play around with them or just shoot them, whatever

MEET THE BUGS

Renegade Claw

The foot soldier equipped with a lazer cannon and a melee attack.

Killbug

An armored bug that will shoot globs of acid at you.

Boombee

A giant wasp that will sting, also it will self destruct. It's basically a nicer version of irl wasps.

YOUR WEAPONS

The Last Resort

It sounds cool but it's actually the weakest weapon and should be your last resort. It does have unlimited ammo and a melee attack though.

Nail Blaster

It's basically a shotgun, but it behaves in a video game way where the closer you are the more damage it will do.

Sphere Rifle

its a machine gun

Gold-Eye Sniper

Cliche sniper rifle that takes out most enemies in one shot. (The scope does not zoom in, the whole screen does.)

Coin

It's a fun collectable but it does nothing. It was originally intended to do something but that is a mystery now.

Speed Up

Increases your speed for a few seconds.

Key Card

Open key color doors.

Egg

Some of them may explode while others do nothing.

Like Doom, there are a lot of secrets to find. Each level has a timer and a score for items found, kills and secrets discovered.

(There is a mega-secret on level 1, it's very hard to discover and isn't counted as a secret on the end stage screen though.)

Most of the music was made in Bosca Coeil.

This game has a frame rate cap because the CPU tends to freak the f out when it's unlimited cap.

Controls:

• Move: WASD or Arrow Keys

• Secondary Weapon Effect: Right Mouse Button
• Jump: Spacebar
• Activate/Open Doors: E
• Pause: Esc or Tab
